Arizona StandDown 2016 is taking place all over our state!  Below you can find every volunteer opportunity at every Arizona StandDown Alliance event.  If you have heard of a StandDown event and it's not listed here or in the StandDown Events calendar, please email us so that we can reach out to them.

    Sierra Vista Cochise Serving Veterans (CSV) is hosting Cochise County’s Annual Veterans Resource Fair.  Nearly 40 local service providers county-wide, in conjunction with support from local Veterans Service Organizations, the VA, Private and Non-Profit entities and individuals will provide at-risk, or in-need Veterans and their families with meals, haircuts, take-away items, clothing, a Job Fair and employment resources, legal services, pet services, assistance with housing, identification documents, Social Security, SNAP, mental and physical services and programs, medical screenings, including dentistry, to name a few of services being offered.  Most importantly, the Fair offers an opportunity for our community to wrap around Veterans and their families with resources they may not be aware of!

     

    Are you a Veteran, or do you know a Veteran who may need to attend and needs transportation? Wellness Connections is heading-up the local pick-up route - please contact Fred Cleere, Transportation Coordinatorfcleere@wellness-connections.org, or, (520)732-9321. RSVP Cutoff date is August 10th.

     

    The Veteran Resource Fair (VRF) Committee is looking for volunteers to man this event!  This is a brilliant way to show your support for our local Veterans and an opportunity to bring your talents to good use!  Contact Mary Martinez, Volunteer Coordinator ccsdvolunteer@gmail.com, for a list of opportunities to let your light shine and be an inspiration to Veteran needs in this community by running a booth, being a concierge, assisting with food service or pet care. If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer please complete the enclosed forms and return to Mary Martinez, Volunteer Coordinator ccsdvolunteer@gmail.com.
